Washington Academy’s Model of United Nations, known for short as WAMUN, has been carried out for thirteen consecutive years, and we are proud to be hosting this new edition at our school. WAMUN is an event that integrates students of numerous schools, of different ages (12 to 18 years) and backgrounds, in a three-day conference. In this model, every delegate has a voice that will be heard, along with brilliant ideas to solve the challenges presented through a series of formal debate sessions. The debates follow the procedures of the United Nations Organization, and cover a variety of current problems of great relevance on a global scale. These topics of world-range are distributed in our twelve specific committees, of which ten are managed exclusively in English and the remaining two in Spanish.
